Why can't you receive a real nappy voucher with your prescription exemption card? At least people would know there's an alternative to disposables and then it's up to them whether or not they bother to use the voucher.
What do you think?

That's a great idea! It's such a hassle scanning in all the documents that are needed. I wanted to apply for the voucher for about a month now, but just haven't gotten round to it because of not being near a scanner/photocopier! If it came with the exemption card I could already be shopping!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone Kathrin! We wish we could make it easier.
ReplyDeleteYes please. I use cloth nappies but with being so busy caring for a baby I haven't had time to send off the details to get the voucher.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Although I'm guessing councils would find that a lot more expensive as so few of us claim the cashback.
ReplyDeletei didnt even know we couold get them with the cards nor mind without, id love to get one as we currently use cloth, as far as i no my council dont do any incentives for cloth nappies either :( xx
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing idea ! I think they should be in the. Bounty packs !!
ReplyDeleteYes yes yes in the bounty packs!!!!
ReplyDeleteOf course this would make it easier and equal more users and awareness!
ReplyDeleteVery good idea!
ReplyDeleteJust to let you know, we've just had a reply from the Department of Health. The answer is 'No!'. Anyone want to start a petition? We really have to make it easier for people to get vouchers to buy real nappies.
DeleteVery good idea!
ReplyDeleteit wont be more expensive for the council as they will have much less waste to collect and dispose of
ReplyDeleteI think you should get the voucher (and the child benefit form) when you go register the baby. No bounty pack needed. It benefits the council therefore the council should facilitate and show their support by just handing out that voucher.
